Rumble Lake, MT

Enjoyed a beautiful weekend in Montana and got to go on an epic hike up to Rumble Lake in the Swan Mountain Range. I will always love visiting my home state.

All in a day

After camping up above Detroit Dam, decided to head to Astoria and check out Fort Stevens. But sadly by the time I made it up there it was closed for the evening. Will have to make another trip up to check it out. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the sun set from the top of the Aster Column. Explored the Nestucca byway for the first time and absolutely love that road! So much beauty and if there ever was a good road for taking a motorcycle on, that was it. Paved, perfectly winding and absolutely lovely.

Enjoying God's creation

From two different days. Camping up some random logging road and spending a Sunday afternoon near Sisters. There's nothing quite like being able to get outside and enjoy the amazing beauty of Creation and just getting away from all the noise and commotion of town. Living the Beamer life, living the good life! :)

Friday night fun

Now that I have just shot an M1 Garand for the first time....I'm pretty sure I need one. Seriously loved it! Going to the hills to spend time outdoors with friends and guns is always a good way to spend an evening. :) Also got to finally use the SureShot!

WAAM

A gem of a museum in Hood River. WAAM has some of everything. Classic cars, airplanes and many other things.

Upper Salmonberry Hike

Found a sweet, abandoned train track to hike. Roughly 6 miles up out of Timber, OR on gravel roads. Day was complete with acquiring a flat tire up in the mountains, in my BMW. It's a 12 mile hike and so much beauty to take in! Someday I want to do another portion of it, as it was a really fantastic hike.

Hittin' the hills

Some days just require a spontaneous run to the mountains. Gotta love some good German engineering with the BMW and Walther :)

Madras, OR museum

Enjoyed a beautiful flight over to Madras with a friend to go check out the Erickson Collection. There is an abundance of pristine old war birds, that they still fly every week. A couple of my favorites are the Corsair F4u4, and the P-51 Mustang. It was also really cool to see the Japanese Oscar. If given the chance, by all means stop in and see this amazing collection of beautiful machines!

Big Sky Country

When you have a free weekend, ya might as well take a drive to Montana. With a total of 23 hours of drive time, 1,400 miles and spending time with family, it was a well spent weekend.

Living the High Life

What better way to spend an afternoon than flying over the coast on a beautiful sunny 72* day. Absolutely love flying!

The Beamer Life

You can't beat taking off for a 24 hour trip to explore a new area. Headed to Eastern Washington to camp and see the back roads. Nothing like waking up to 32* morning with a thick layer of ice on the inside of the windshield. Yes, I may of 'camped' in the car. Not the most comfortable but did break the wind. Some of the best times spent are on the roads in new areas.

New Years!

What's the best way to bring in the new year? Why, head to the mountains for the sunrise and shoot off a few rounds, of course!
